How do I add a new carer to my team?

Adding new carers to your Skedulr account is quick and easy. Follow these simple steps to get your team members set up and ready to start receiving their rotas.

Step 1: Access Team Management

Click on Team in the main navigation menu, then select Add Carer from the top right of the screen.

Step 2: Enter Carer Details

Fill in the following required information:

  • Full name
  • Email address (for login credentials)
  • Phone number
  • Employment start date
  • Role (e.g., Care Assistant, Senior Carer, Nurse)

Email Addresses — Each carer needs a unique email address. This will be used for their login and to receive shift notifications and updates.

Step 3: Set Availability

Configure when this carer is typically available to work. You can set:

  • Standard working days (e.g., Monday to Friday)
  • Preferred shift times
  • Any regular days off
  • Maximum hours per week

Step 4: Send Invitation

Once you've entered all the details, click Send Invitation. The carer will receive an email with:

  • Instructions to set up their password
  • Link to download the mobile app
  • Welcome information about using Skedulr

Mobile App — Carers can access their rotas, clock in/out, and record care notes all from the mobile app. Make sure they download it from the App Store or Google Play.
